The Early Warning feature is facilitated through a small mobile remote which continuously communicates with the vehicle tracking unit installed in the customers vehicle. The feature ensures that customers vehicles are always armed even in instances where the vehicle is parked and switched off.  When your vehicle is driven and the Early Warning Remote is not present, Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre will receive an alert notification for actioning.

The Autoremote communicates with the tracking unit installed in your vehicle by pressing the buttons on the Autoremote within proximity of your vehicle (installed with your Autotrak tracking unit)

The Autoremote contains three different button colours. Each button serves a different function.

1. Green Button: The green button is utilised by customers who make use of the Autoremote’s high-risk optional feature. The high-risk feature requires drivers to authorise a trip before a trip start. Failing to disarm the Autotrak high-risk mode (by pressing the green button) will send an alert to Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre for actioning as soon as the vehicle starts a trip.
2. Blue Button: By pressing a blue button before a trip starts, the trip will be logged as a business trip on Autotrak’s web software.
3. Red Button: By pressing the red button, an alert will be sent to Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre for investigation.

In the event of an emergency or hijacking, the hardwire panic button can be used to send an alert to Autotrak Customer Response Centre for assistance. The hardwire panic button should be pressed while inside the vehicle.

Autotrak’s Signal Jamming Detection system is utilised to detect if a signal jammer is being used. Once a change in frequency is detected Autotrak’s Signal Jamming Detection system will automatically start the
procedure of starving the vehicles fuel pump of fuel, rendering the vehicle immobile (limp mode) Customers can only de- activate the Signal Jamming Detection system by contacting Autotrak’s Customer Response Centre (CRC)

Autotrak’s TrailerTrak product has been designed with an internal battery. TrailerTrak’s internal battery needs to be connected to a  power source for approximately 4 consecutive hours to fully charge the unit’s depleted battery. Once a trailer has been disconnected from the horse the TrailerTrak unit will periodically wake up every 8 hours. This indicates that the trailer’s geographical location will only be updated on Autotrak’s web software/Mobile App every 8 hours should the trailer not be connected to power. A fully charged TrailerTrak internal battery that is not connected to power will last approximately 4 months until the battery is completely depleted.

In an operational scenario where a trailer is regularly or permanently connected to a horse users will receive geographical location updates every 30 seconds on Autotrak’s web software/Mobile App when utilising Autotrak’s TrailerTrak product.

This feature allows the customer to render the vehicle immobile through the Autotrak Customer Response Centre (CRC) For instance, if a customer wishes to immobilize the vehicle over a weekend, ensuring the vehicle cannot be used or in an emergency scenario.
