An employment opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer exists, at Autotrak South Africa’s Head Office in Gillitts, KwaZulu-Natal, or at Autotrak International’s Head Office in Mauritius.

KEY PERFORMACE AREAS AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) A full-stack developer proficient with high-level backend languages, front-end web technologies and large-scale databases.  Able to work with both legacy code and new technologies, Experience in not just coding but good software design.

2) Matric with BSc (computer science) or equivalent

3) 10 years’ experience with web-based software development

4) NET (IIS), Javascript / Typescript, DB Administrator, MySQL

5) Software development, enhancement and maintenance of:

Web Applications

Client Side (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Transcript, JQuery, Openlayers and other Javascript APIs)

Mobile web applications

MySQL database management

DB Administration

6) Ability to provide after-hours support on critical services, at Management’s discretion.

7) Stand-alone C++/C# /other applications and scripts.

8) Other administrative duties added at management discretion

9) Conduct satisfactory presentations as required by the company.

10) Testing of newly developed software and product features.

11) Compiling documentation with any new developments.

12) Research into relevant subject areas to aid in developments and enhancements.

10. Become familiar with the companies and products classed as opposition by Autotrak, this includes product analysis against the company products and pricing structures available to the customer.

12. Ensure that all jobs issued to you are carried out in a professional and courteous manner and that upon completion of the job all documentation is accurately completed and filed in a presentable and accessible condition.
