Field Installation & Service Technician( East London)

Employment opportunity for a Field Installation & Service Technician.  Successful candidate must reside in East London.

 

Job title:                     Field Installation & Service Technician

Region:                      East London, must be able to travel.

Start Date:                  Earliest availability

Salary:                        Market Related, commission (Grade 3) – commission varies based on outcome of quarterly performance appraisals.

 

An Auto Electrical qualification and previous tracking installation experience is preferable

 

  1. Ensure that you invoice a minimum of 65 hours and 30 x Autotrak installations per month, or as identified by your Manager from time to time.
  2. Be thoroughly familiar with the company’s product range.
  3. Maintain an up-to-date technical reference manual for yourself, and keep an up-to-date technical file on all of the company’s products including installation criteria, etc.
  4. Ensure that all general and special tools, programming, calibration and test equipment allocated to you is kept in proper working order.
  5. All work-related documentation (costing, part number and part description) under your control is kept tidy, is accurately completed, and is timeously submitted to the company.
  6. Ensure that all jobs issued to you are carried out in a professional and courteous manner and that upon completion of the job the customer’s vehicle is left in a presentable condition.
  7. Ensure that all stock under your control is kept secure in a clean and tidy state. No stock should be damaged or misused whilst under your control.
  8. Ensure that whilst on standby that you always answer your phone and attend to any after-hours emergency call outs when necessary.
  9. Ensure that your company vehicle is in a presentable condition at all times, is maintained in proper working order and is serviced at the correct intervals.
  10. Ensure that the Autotrak Tracking System and AutoCams installed in to your vehicle are always in a working order.
  11. Prompt work start times must be adhered to at all times.

 

GENERAL

  • Must be neat and presentable and be able to conduct oneself in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Clear criminal and credit record (we are in the security industry);
  • Attend training courses for product knowledge as required by the company;
  • Show a courteous manner at all times to both customers and other company employees in the Autotrak group;
  • Be willing to undertake various tasks or projects given to you by the company;
  • Attend meetings with your Manager when requested;

 

  • Become familiar with the companies and products classed as opposition by Autotrak, this includes product analysis against the company products;
  • Always be correctly dressed in accordance to company dress code policy;
  • Foster positive business relationships with your clients in order to promote confidence in our brand;
  • Promote relationships with all of the company’s customers and suppliers that reflect trust and credibility.

Vehicle Fleet Management Sales and Customer Consultant ( Gauteng)

  • Male or female 30+ years of age,
  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in a fleet/truck sales environment,
  • Qualification in the Sales or Marketing sector will be advantageous,
  • Good command of the English language – written & spoken. Afrikaans will be advantageous,
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for a passenger vehicle (Code 8) – no endorsements,
  • Must be a team player,
  • Must be prepared to travel as required by the company,
  • Must have a clean criminal record (criminal clearance certificate essential),
  • To commence at the earliest availability,
  • Salary R18,000 – R20,000 per month, plus a favourable commission structure. Medical aid contribution of R1,000, provided a membership certificate is presented.

 

Sales KPA’s

  1. Achieve sales targets as laid down by the company. Initially, your targets are identified in Annexure B, however, this may change from time to time at the discretion of management.
  2. Utilise the company’s “quote compiler” to generate all quotations in your sales area.
  3. Procure relationships with Fleet owners, Corporate Businesses, Insurance brokers, Underwriting managers, and Dealerships in line with company objectives.
  4. Able to conduct satisfactory product presentations from Workshop to Director level.
  5. Successfully learn and teach the company’s sales features benefits and services offered to its

customer base to the company’s satisfaction.

  1. Become familiar with the companies and products classed as opposition by the Autotrak group of

companies.  This includes product analysis against the company’s products.

  1. Compile required reports in accordance with departmental company requirements. You will also be

required to attend sales meetings as advised by the company.

  1. Work with your assigned internal CRD team to assist with company documents to successfully

execute sales.

 

Customer Retention KPA’s

  1. Provide Autotrak product sales, training, and first-level technical support to all your allocated customers, including internal software.
  2. Use your allocated customer as a tool to generate sales leads,
  3. Compile and forward quotations, proposals, and information packs required by your allocated customers,
  4. Attend meetings as per the company visit schedule,
  5. Ensure all allocated customers have agreed to any nonstandard service levels in writing by completing the Autotrak service level agreement (SLA). This SLA must be added to marketing             (CRD Management) for inclusion in the CRM system for action by the company.
  6. Provide any customer-facing assistance as required by the CRD management,
  7. Provide support in the process of renewing customer contracts as required by management,
  8. Attend weekly internal meetings to discuss outstanding matters/issues,
  9. Assist the CRM Administrator to ensure the region’s CRM data and minutes of meetings are uploaded timeously.
  10. Minute taking at various internal and external meetings and ensuring they are timeously uploaded to the CRM,
  11. Understand the customers’ needs and provide helpful solutions,
  12. Answer queries regarding products and services – including, but not limited to, Sales, Products, Installations, Health Reports, Technical, Billing & Website,
  13. Direct queries to the relevant departments and ensure these queries are attended to,
  14. Work closely with the Internal CRD to manage and service your allocated customers,
  15. Compile any applicable reports as required.
