Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
Must be proficient with soldering skills and QC – PC Boards
Experience with MS Office – Word, Excel & Outlook
Start Date: To commence at earliest availability.
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualification.
Hours: 07:45 to 16:45 Monday to Friday are the normal hours of work, however you will be expected to work any other time periods required by the Company that may fall outside of your normal working hours.
Key Performance Areas of the position are listed below:
- Daily allocation of work to workshop staff,
- Daily reporting on work completed to management,
- Ensuring health and safety guidelines are always adhered to
- Ensuring all technician sick leave forms are provided timeously
- Ensuring the workshops (final test and final assembly areas) as well as each technician’s workplace is left clean and tidy at the close of business each day.
- Ensuring the correct Codes of Practice are being followed in the workshop.
- Ensuring work instructions are up to date and are on each technician’s desk for the product they are working on.
- Training the technicians new and updated work instructions.
- Monitoring and ensuring tea and lunch break times are adhered to.
- Reporting on non-conformance completed and findings for non-conformance
- Reporting on repairs completed and findings for repairs
- Ensure the process flows for repairs/non-conformance and new production are followed.
- Ensure there is proper housekeeping in the workshop. (A place for everything and everything in its place)
TECHNICAL AREAS:
- Detailed hardware product knowledge and knowledge of all work instructions
- Superior technical abilities
- Perform quality checks on products before they are put into Finished Goods
- Ability to complete all tasks any of the technicians are given
